Yes, a combination of fencing and natural barriers (shear stone cliffs are inaccessible)

Yes; 24 hr upper and lower terminal and harbor areas can be seen via remote cameras which are displayed in the control room.

14. are patrol boats available in the port to keep the approach to the terminal free of unauthorized traffic and who is responsible?
The Terminal maintains observation using 4 tugs, work boats, a pilot/line boat and the Harbour Office has a crew boat as well.

15. at the nominated terminal, how long response time can be expected  from requesting assistance from local police until Officers on site?
5-15 minutes

16. Are stores and unaccompanied baggage being checked by the port facility? What is the frequency of such checks
Yes, every time.

17. Are the persons entering the port & effects being searched?
Yes

Statia Terminals N.V. is located on the Dutch West Indies Island of St. Eustatius, Netherlands Antilles in the northeast Caribbean. Issued at Sint Eustatius on 28 June 2004 and valid until 30 June 2009 the designated authority certifies the compliance of this port facility with the provisions of chapter XI-2 and Part A of the International Code for the Security of Ships and Port Facilities, subject to annual verification requirements.
